It is similar to being “zoned out” or “spaced out,” and it is similar to the place your mind is at right before you drift off to sleep at night. People go in and out of states of hypnosis each and every day. Having a hypnotist is like having a guide to bring you into that relaxed state of mind. Once you are there, the hypnotist makes suggestions to help improve your life. Because you are in a relaxed state, you are more susceptible to these suggestions than you would be otherwise. That is why hypnosis is beneficial.

The limits we have placed on ourselves and ideas about who we are and who we are not are some of the most common causes of our problems. If you believe that you are an overweight smoker who can’t get to sleep at night, that is who you will be. But if you learn to think of yourself and your environment in new ways, you will see positive changes occur. And it is only when your thoughts are corrected that the positive changes will remain permanent.
